Dr. Keen is a native of Mississippi. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University or Mississippi and a Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He completed a residency in a Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.

He has operated a private practice for 20 years. He owns and operates Southern Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Center and Southern Facial Aesthetics located in Madison, MS. He has been actively involved with Seventh Knight for 19 years.
